No7 Ballerina Beauty bag Spring Edition

Howdy!

Today I will be talking to you about a beauty bag by No7 that can be bought for 10.00 pounds and a while back was free when you bought two No7 products.

Firstly, the ballerina bag is beautiful, this is the bag all the stuff is put in, I love the pink and black detailing, and it is also the perfect size for taking a few vital pieces of make up with you if your were travelling.

The first item is a sample of the Protect and perfect Intense Day Cream which has a spf of 15 and a five star UVA. This day cream is also hypo allergenic. The size of this sample is pretty good and is 10ml. This is a silky, smooth cream which sinks into the skin immediately, it doesn't leave a residue and I can quickly notice a difference in my skin. When I use this product I will purchase full size. I also smell a faint scent of coconut which is a bonus!

next, is the No7 Stay Perfect Eye Shadow in the top colour of the Forest Fruits Trio. This is a satin finish like, faint grape coloured, almost greyish purple, with a lot of shimmer and it is very metallically. This eyeshadow isn't ridiculously pigmented which I prefer as I most likely would not wear a bright purple on my eyeballs, but this leaves a sheer blend of purple and looks perfect on the lid or even in the crease to create more dimension. This is a good sample size and is is 1.5g whereas the regular ones are 1.9g. Depending on what the rest of the trio looks like, I would consider purchasing it when I use my sample up.

Next is the No7 Extreme Length Mascara, this comes in a metallic purple sleek packaging and looks really good, the colour is black and it is a very jet black  colour, not a greyish black or a purpley black like you can get with some mascaras. I was very pleased with the bright green wand, and how some bristles were smaller than the other ones to grip on to the lashes and make them longer. I felt like this product lengthened amazingly, volumised and separated which looked really dramatic and amazing, but not spidery. This is a 6M sample and I am already running out as I have used this almost everyday since I bought it! Therefore, I will repurchase it!

Finally, a No7 Moisture Drench Lipstick in the colour Mulberry. When I opened the bag, and saw a lipstick I instantly guessed it would a brown colour and that I would be disappointed, but it actually turned out that I was pleasantly surprised! In my opinion it is a pinky red, with hints of orange. It is a very moisturising matte lipstick which can often be hard to find, as many lip products that are matte often turn out to be extremely drying. It does not have a very strong scent and the packaging is very mature. I plan on looking at more of the lipsticks in this range! This is a full size and retails for £9.50. I think. It is also very pigmented and stays on the lips for a very long time.

overall, I was very impressed with this Beauty Bag and I think it is worth way more than £10.00!

Tell me if you have this Beauty Bargain Bag and if you like it, or any other No7 products you've enjoyed and tried, or anything else you would like me too review!

Rimmel Apocalips Lip Laquers

Howdy!

These are really good lip products, I really enjoy wearing them, because of the colour pay off, the feeling it leaves your lips and worrying about it rubbing off and leaving an awkward line around your mouth. These retail for 5.99 and you can find them in Superdrug and Boots.

I think the packaging is really nice, i love the extra detailing at the top resembling rocks and apocaliptic occurences, and also how the actual colour of the lip procut is shown at the bottom and as you open the lid there is a gap so you can see the actual colour. There are eight shades of this ranging from a light nude to a deep purple, and has a pretty peach, a few perfect pinks and a few bold reds. I think the range is great for people who want bright lips, but I personally, on a day to day basis like something more simple so the colour range isn't amazing for me.

Left: 101 Celestial
Right: 500 Luna

These lip laquers are basically a mix between a lipstick and a lipgloss, they have the opacity of a lipstick and the shine of a gloss, they're very unique and different to what you would normally find in a drugstore. I own two of these firstly, 101 Celestial, Celestial is a mauvey pink, lip coloured shade and suits lots of skin tones, I like this shade alot and really enjoy the finished look. The other one I own is 500 Luna, this is a very peachy orange shade and I do not own anything like this, it isn't as opaque as Celestial but, it can be. It is very bright and perfect for Spring and Summer.

They have a nice applicator and it helps to apply it evenly all over the lips and also is easier to get it around your lips and not anywhere else, e.g, your nose;) But, they do have a very distinctive smell,I am not the biggest fan of the smell but i do not mind it, they smell very plasticy, so if you are sensitive to smells in lip products this may not be the best choice, but the smell is not very noticeable on the lips at all.

I hope you enjoyed this review, tell me your thoiughts and opinions  for the RImmel London Apocalips Lip Laquers, and any prodcuts you would like me to review!

Howdy!
I know that the drugstore makeup tag has been and gone, but I missed my chance to do it. Better late than never! ;)

1. What is your favourite drugstore brand?
Either Rimmel or Collection, I think they're both amazing and both really affordable with such good quality products.

2. Favourite face, cheek and lip product?
Face: Collection ultimate wear lasting perfection concealer (a review coming soon) this covers anything effortlessly, it's a heavy duty concealer meaning it is good for covering redness, dark circles,  blemishes, but can crease if not powdered effectively, but I love it.
Cheek: Maybelline New York expert wear blush in 77 rose, this is the perfect natural, shimmery, everyday blush, that blends with any skin tone and looks totally natural and beautiful.

Lip: this may not come as a surprise to you, but my favourite lip product is Collection Cream Puff moisturising lip creams. These are perfect, I won't go in to too much detail as I have already written a blog post all about how amazing they are. But they are light, beautiful, and smell amazing. Plus they
 are only £2.99.

3. What is your least favourite drugstore product?
My least favourite drugstore product is MaxFactor Max Effect Gloss Cube, this is
one of the worst lip glosses I have ever used, the colour looks beautiful in the packaging, but once you put it on it resembles a clear gloss, it's very sticky, and smells very funky. This was definitely the most appealing colour in the shop, but I was very disappointed.

4. What is your best drugstore bargain?
I have so many of these it was hard to choose, but I decided to go with my MUA Multi use palette,
this palette is amazing and for six pounds, it's an amazing price, six eyeshadows, two blushes, a bronzer and a highlight that are of amazing quality for the most part at such a reasonable price is fantastic.

5. What is your favourite underdog product?
My underdog product is definitely the Collection Cream Puff Lip Creams. I couldn't resist
mentioning them again, but they are amazing. And not enough people talk about them, they have amazing colour, great pigmentation and smell good, plus they're cheap as chips.

6. What is an overpriced product from the drugstore?
Now, although I do love this I think it is ridiculously overpriced. The Revlon colour burst Lip Butters, they are £7.99 each, they are so soft, sheer and you don't even get that much product. They are so easy to break, and go down really quickly, not worth the money!

7. What are your best dupes?
I think the best dupes are the Maybelline colour tattoo 24hr cream eye shadows, not as much in colour, but in consistency, concept and finish etc. plus they have a massive
price difference.

8. What product isn't worth the hype?
I think that blistex intensive moisturiser lip balms are useless, I don't feel as though they do anything for my lips which are very dry and that the lip balm smells funky, tastes
weird and does nothing.

Hope you enjoyed my drugstore makeup tag, leave comments of products you like, or
maybe do the tag yourself!

Max Factor Max Effect Gloss Cube Review

Howdy!

Today I am going to be reviewing something I included in my "I <3 drugstore makeup tag" as the most disappointing drugstore product. The Max Factor Max Effect Gloss Cube, I bought this with very high expectations, I had heard alot of good press about the brand and I wanted a new lip gloss, I saw these in Boots and could not resist. It was 5.99 and I bought 01 Soft Rose. Which is just a soft pink, but not a baby pink or a bright pink. I liked the packaging although it did seem a little sparse and small.

When I finally tried this out I was hugely disappointed becuase, the smell was very strong and although I am ot usually senstive to scents of lip products, but this one really irritated my nostrils. It has a very basic applicator and doesn't apply evenly or neatly. This product had no colour pay off and didn't show up the colour in the cube at all. It looked like a clear boss, but it didn't have much shine or glossy look like you would expect with a lip gloss. It felt very sticky, tacky and tasted disgusting.

If you have tried the Max Factor Gloss Cubes's tell me your opinion and if you would agree or disagree with me. Also please tell me products you would like me to review and try out.

Topshop Lipstick Review

Hello! Sorry for the lack of posts recently my internet has been really bad! :(

Today I will be reviewing the Topshop velvet finish lipstick in Pillow Talk. I bought this on an absolute whim. I personally enjoy wearing subtle lip colours or more toned down bright colours most days, but most topshop lip colours are too bright for me, but i have wanted one for so long. This is a light pink with slight bright tones and looks very pastelly on the lips. Plus the packaging is really cute!

The packaging is very cute and the colour pay off and pigmentation is beautiful. However, the formulation can be a bit drying, settle into cracks and leave a line around the inside of the mouth but with plently of blending and lip balm it looks amazing. I think that this colour is the perfect lipstick for transitioning from Spring into Summer, because, although it is slightly brighter than I would want for day to day, but it also has a high element of pastel whick leaves the most beautiful, simple but also put together look to your lips! These lip sticks retail for 8.00 pounds and are a bargain. The darker colours are very pigmented and the range of lipsticks in Topshop are always on trend and will suit many people and skin tones.

Maybelline Colour Tattoos

Howdy,
welcome to Popbeauty, today I will be reviewing the Maybelline 24hr colour tattoos, I recently picked this up from my boots along with some other bits from Maybelline, because of a cheeky offer;) I got 35 on and on bronze, this is a beautiful metallically bronzey brown colour, that blends and sits perfectly.
This sits perfectly on the eye, blends amazingly, can either be used to make a natural, but done up eye look, and blended to make a smokey dramatic eye. Application is easy pigmentation is perfect and the staying power is a really long time, possibly even 24 hours, but I don't normally wear make up that long;)

These cost £4.99, they don't come in the widest range of colour, and not are as wearable for someone like me who sticks to boring browns, but I really hope they bring out more wearable shades in the UK. And I am really hoping to get Eternal Gold soon! If you have tried it and liked it please share your thoughts with me! :)

They apply as a really lovely light, pigmented, pretty colour, they are easy to blend and great to use for a smokey eye or just and everyday basic look and they do last a very long time!

I hope you enjoyed this review and I will be back soon, tell me your opinions on these cream shadows or if you have any other recommendations of products you think I should try or you'd like me to review!

Collection cream Puffs

Hey there,
So today I have another make up review. Today I will review for you the very nice Collection Cream Puff lip creams.
I am in love with these things, for staters they are only £2.99! These could easily be high end, expensive products! I also love the name.

On the left is Cotton Candy and on the right is Cotton Candy is a beautiful, everyday, simple pink, and Fairy Cake is more of a salmony pink, which looks beautiful on the lips. They also smell amazing.

They have a common doper applicator, and are really light and soft, they don't feel sticky or dry, it's like you have nothing on your lips at all. They last a really long time, and are completely matte, so you have the option to apply a gloss over the top or just leave it. They are highly pigmented and once again, smell great. The packaging isn't amazing, but it is only £2.99, and it leaves your lips looking amazing.

The only down side about these products are that they are only available in four colours, the other two are a brown and a nude, which I don't see my self buying, but these two are amazing, and I highly recommend them!

MUA Multi Use Palette

Howdy,
So today I am reviewing a rather recent purchase, of a make up palette I have been loving.
This is the MUA The Artiste Collection - Multi Use Palette and wow. I have definitely fallen in love with this palette. The palette retails for £6, and can be found in most superdrug's.

This palette is really handy for when you're travelling and don't want to carry loads of make up. Like a ton of eyeshadows, blushes, bronzers and a highlight, because with this handy palette it is all there.
The palette comes with six amazing eyeshadows, two really pigmented gorgeous blushes, a lovely bronzer and a a stunning highlight. Some of the eyeshadows are so pigmented, like pistachio, which is a beautiful highlight shade, mocca, which is a pretty beige, good lid colour, and easy to wear alone, and cookie which is the one of the end, and is a pretty warm crease colour. These all have amazing pigmentation. Whereas the other three shades haven't got amazing pigmentation but they still look nice on the eyes.

The blushes are fenomonal, pink sparkle, the left blush, more of a bright, vibrant glittery peachy pink colour, and primrose, the right blush, being more of a natural, almost mauvey pink, for a more natural flush of colour. The bronzer, bronzed, was slightly disappointing, it was very powdery, slightly muddy in colour and very difficult to blend. One of my favourite things in this palette was the highlight, shimmer kiss, it was the perfect, universally natural highlight, catching the sun, but still looking normal, and not slightly dead. It blends with the blushes and sits on the cheeks perfectly.

I hope you enjoyed this review and I hope that this possibly interested you into trying something new,   If you have tried this palette or have a recommendation for something you would like me to try or review leave a comment Down below.
